How Kirinyaga Deputy Governor landed in police cells after kidnapping woman
A nude video emerged on Tuesday in which the Deputy Governor was recorded with a woman naked.

Police arrested him at gunpoint for allegedly kidnapping Njeri who was in his campaign team for the Mwea parliamentary seat and whisked him off to Kerugoya Police Station where he spent a night.
The Business Daily on Friday reported that the dramatic arrest of Mr Ndambiri happened as he headed out for a weekend campaign meeting amid claims of his involvement in the kidnapping of Njeri on December 7, 2016.
The ugly incident happened in Ngurubani town, after police tracked him down. It had been reported that the woman was missing and investigations had allegedly pointed to Mr Ndambiri.

Mr Ndambiri is claimed to have given Njeri the Sh22,000 for a youth seminar, but she never accounted for it. The matter was later resolved.
Months later, Mr Ndambiri, 58, is back in the news battling effects of the embarrassing nude video that has kept the mainstream and social media platforms awash with speculation.
The ugly yet controversial video emerged on Tuesday, but the Deputy Governor would later emerge on Wednesday to blame extortionists for the damaging video.
Ndambiri has since maintained that he is focused on his family and his electorates despite the shameful video in which he was filmed naked with a woman, in a compromising situation.

In a statement read to the press on Wednesday, the Deputy Governor equally apologized to his wife and children and people of Kirinyaga for the nasty video.
“I have apologized to my wife of many years who has always been my solid rock. I have denigrated her womanhood and made her the laughing stock of many.
"I have sought her forgiveness and I will work hard to earn back her trust. I have let my children down. They have always looked up to me for inspiration and direction. I have caused them untold embarrassment and agony.
“I would like to take this opportunity to get ahead of the video and story in circulation. Right now what matters most is my family and my people of Kirinyaga who look up to me for guidance. To them, I say sorry,” he said.
He added: “I do not know the woman nor do I have a relationship with her, I was set up after I refused to part with Ksh.5 million."
