Police officers narrate Miguna’s dramatic life in dirty cells
Fearless general?
Miguna was arrested on Friday last week and had a sting in various police stations, starting with Kiambu, Githunguri, Lari, the Kenya Ports Authority Inland Depot, and finally at the JKIA police station.
Officers who handled the outspoken lawyer have been quoted by the Star, recounting the hard time they encountered as they tried to tame the self-declared general.
“Is this your first time to see an aircraft?” Miguna asked one of the officers who escorted him to JKIA.

Boiling rage
The officer, reportedly known for his no-nonsense attitude, was boiling with rage, but had to maintain his cool even as Miguna continued mocking him, and referring to them as "crooks".
In another incident, the officer commanding Lari police station had to call his superiors to seek guidance after Miguna declined to return to his cells after a 4.30am visit to the loo.
However, while in a good mood, he would engage his captors in a friendly chat about his days at the Office of the Former Prime Minister, telling the officers of his efforts to have the government improve working conditions for security agents.
Intimidating presence

Apart from having a tall and well-built body, Miguna has an intimidating presence supported by a high level of intelligence, and an unmatched razor-sharp tongue which he terms as the “Miguna sting” in his book – Peeling Back the Mask.
"Anyang’ Nyong’o and Ababu Namwamba could write very well and they did regularly. The problem was that they didn’t have what my friend and CEO of the Star Newspaper calls ‘the Miguna Sting’".
“Unlike many Kenyans, I’m not good at sports or athletics and I can’t sing…The gift God gave me was the ability to coin words and phrases in a manner that drives a point home. As some other friends have said, ‘Miguna is a gifted wordsmith’,” he writes in the much publicised memoir.
