Supreme Court announces time of presidential petition ruling

The Court Registrar has issued a statement on the time of the ruling.

The Court's Registrar has announced that the seven-judge Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice David Maraga will deliver their judgment at 11 am.

The Supreme Court judges will decide whether to uphold President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election or order a fresh election within 60 days.

NASA leader Raila Odinga on Thursday asked Kenyans to maintain peace during and after the highly anticipated ruling on his election petition challenging President Uhuru Kenyatta's win after the August 8 elections.

Security has already been beefed up at Supreme Court building and its environs, ahead of of the judgement.
