Mr Mbadi told journalists on Thursday that Nasa supporters already made their mind on their line of leadership, adding that their “choice of Raila Odinga was frustrated by Uhuru Kenyatta led Jubilee party”.
The Suba Constituency lawmaker remarked that the reforms being pushed in the Wafula Chebukati led Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), if considered, will be enough to deliver a Nasa victory, without much campaigns.

“We know Kenyans already made their choices before and on August 8. We are instead creating a good path for our team to swing in full force to campaign,” the lawmaker told reporters in Nairobi.
The sentiments by Mr Mbadi is a reiteration by Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga who has been championing for major reforms at the IEBC, including the axing of top Commission officials in a quest to have a freer, accountable and verifiable repeat elections slated for October 26.
Mr Odinga, in the recent past, has resolved to use the media through press conferences and mass action top push out his agenda, while the Uhuru Kenyatta led Jubilee party resolved to make inroads in areas perceived as Nasa strongholds.
“I have soldiers on the ground who are campaigning for me. It is not a must that I take the lead. We need to clean up the IEBC before we head to the repeat polls before we can think of any other thing,” Odinga told a media briefing at Wiper Party Headquarters in Nairobi.
He added: “We have a huge support base, so already Kenyans know who their president will be, forget about the self-imposed Jubilee administration.”

Recently, Mr Odinga and his running mate launched a fundraiser through Mpesa to solicit money for his campaigns ahead of the repeat polls, a move the Jubilee party mocked arguing that “Raila could be defrauding Kenyans by calling up for contribution as he is not interested in repeat elections.”
Mr Odinga on Saturday will be heading to his western stronghold - Vihiga and Kakamega Counties - after several inroads by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy on Thursday and Friday in the area.
