Raphael Tuju reveals Raila's biggest mistake

Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju on Friday revealed that Raila Odinga erred in instilling Miguna Miguna as his adviser, dumping senior counsel James Orengo and Otiende Amollo.

Mr Tuju waded into the murky state of affairs in NASA and castigated Mr Odinga for allowing Miguna’s parrot noises to offer legal advice to him.

“The rain started beating Raila the moment he replaced sound legal advise from Orengo and Otiende Amollo with Miguna Miguna's parrot noises,” he tweeted Friday.

Both senior counsel James Orengo and Otiende Amollo successfully litigated for the former Premier in a petition which saw the nullification of the August 8 2017 presidential elections.

Mr Orengo led the team of nearly 20 lawyers who represented the Opposition leader at the Supreme Court, and won a case to quash the elections, on grounds of “systematic failures in results transmission.”

The Senator has in the recent past gone silent over the controversial swearing-in fete slated for Tuesday January 30.

Mr Orengo, however, early this month, reiterated that Mr Odinga’s plan to take oath was on course, after the postponement of the event on December 12th.

He would later urge Opposition supporters not to despair over delays in swearing in Odinga as the 'people's president', saying nothing was lost.

“Raila will be sworn in and those who think he will not are dreaming. This is the year of change in Kenya and that change will be realised when Raila takes oath of office as the President of Kenya,” said Orengo.

Meanwhile, Dr Miguna Miguna on Wednesday reiterated that the swearing-in is within the purview of the law and that all Nasa supporters would be “defending themselves against any aggression from the Jubilee government”, but failed to give further details.
