Mzee Moi agreed to meet the visitors at convenient time another day in the very near future," part of the statement read.

Reports indicate that the visit was confirmed on Tuesday after the DP sought an audience with Mzee Moi.

Minutes after the failed meeting, Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, a close of ally of the DP tweeted, "The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. the LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.”
