Jaguar Vs Boniface Mwangi
Jaguar whose win for the Starehe seat is being challenged by his arch-rival and ODM candidate Steve Mbogo dragged the name of Mwangi into the drama after a tweep suggested that the activist could have been a better leader for the Constituency.
The singer did not take the suggestion kindly and decided to hit Mwangi below the belt stating that he (Mwangi) was not number two during the Starehe Parliamentary race during the August 8 General Election.
“He (Boniface Mwangi) was not even number two...," jaguar tweeted.
However, Mwangi also was not one to remain silent and accused Jaguar of being incompetent in the English language.
The former aspiring MP also alleged that Jaguar won the Starehe seat using underhanded methods.
“Njagua, you can't even spell or communicate. You used Jubilee's popular wave and Maina Kamanda's imported voters from Murang'a to get elected,” Mwangi tweeted.
Mr. Mbogo has filed a petition seeking a fresh election to be conducted in Starehe.
According to the ODM candidate, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) failed to conduct a free and fair election on August 8.
“I am aggrieved by the said declaration and believe that the member of National Assembly election was riddled with grave breaches of the 2010 Constitution of Kenya and applicable Electoral Laws, ” Mbogo told the court.
