Uhuru ranked number 2 in Africa

Egypt's Abdel Fattah el-Sisi holds number one position.

President Uhuru Kenyatta was beaten by Egypt’s Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in the latest most followed African leaders on Facebook, becoming the second with 3.5 million people following him.

“World Leaders on Facebook” report released on Thursday ranked Fattah el-Sisi as the most followed with 7.2 million followers, while Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo, came third with 1.6 million followers.

In addition, the study which analyzed the activity of 650 Facebook pages of heads of state and government and foreign ministers from January 1, 2017, using aggregate data from Facebook’s CrowdTangle tool, showed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the most followed world leader on Facebook with 43.2 million followers on his personal page.

He beat U.S's Donald Trump who has 23.1 million followers.

Queen Rania of Jordan came in third place with 16 million followers, ahead of the institutional page of the Indian Premier, @PMOIndia, with 13.9 million followers.

Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen has shot into fifth position of the most followed world leaders, with 9.6 million followers and a growth rate of 48 percent.
