Mr. Kenyatta was meant to have a press briefing after the Supreme Court ruling which upheld his re-election but it was postponed with no explanation.

Speaking at Harambee House in Nairobi Mr. Esipisu divulged that Kenyatta will for the first time after the Supreme Court ruling address Kenyans during his inauguration ceremony on November 28 at the Kasarani Stadium.

The Statehouse spokesperson noted that Kenyatta will be taking his oath of office next week Tuesday as per the Constitution.

He added that the President was working on what his second term will entail highlighting that he will reveal the details on the inauguration day.

"Next week the President will take his oath of office. On that day he will re-dedicate himself to the path of peace, prosperity, constitutionalism, and healing. The President is now working on his priorities for his second term and he will speak to some of these as he addresses the nation at his inauguration next week,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of President Kenyatta, Esipisu stated that the Head of State will be a President to all, those who voted for him and those who did not.

“The President wants to assure Kenyans those who voted for him and those who didn’t that he will be the president of all Kenyans. No one should fear that they will be marginalized or penalized for their political choice,” he said.

Kenyatta went further to thank the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for making the fresh presidential polls possible.

He highlighted that the Electoral Body managed to hold a free, fair, credible election under difficult circumstances.
