Uhuru makes drastic changes to his team
The changes are set to create a major shakeup in Raila’s camp

The Uhuru Kenyatta led team through his Jubilee Party has resolved to consolidating backyards and shore up numbers ahead of the rematch with his Raila Odinga on October 17.
Uhuru has now involved a major plan which comprises of three-pronged messaging, greater targeting of opposition strongholds, as well as guarding the vote, in addition to voluminous money held by the party.
The Jubilee party is said to have already disbursed over Sh2 million to MPs in specific areas which they encountered strong opposition in the bungled elections.

On messaging, Mr Kenyatta has maintained since the ruling of the Supreme Court that Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga used the court to “steal his my victory” and that he is still the president, who even opened the 12 parliament, despite a boycott by almost all Nasa MPs.
NASA losers
In a renewed spunk, Jubilee party is now targeting losers in the just concluded elections to hit back at the opposition. The losers in Raila Odinga camp are understood to be unhappy with NASA. Turncoats and mercenaries are easy to find.
Uhuru reportedly is satisfied with the performance of his campaign teams in August. He believes they did their best and has left them intact as he battles a resurgent opposition determined to make him Kenya's first one-term President.
The rigorous new campaign strategy is understood to be centered at three key points; State House, a strategy hub in Caledonia estates and Jubilee's Pangani headquarters. Uhuru’s party Secretary general Raphael Tuju has an enhanced mandate to oversee logistics.

Series of meetings
Meanwhile, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have resolved to holding meetings across the country with opinion makers, different from what was experienced in the cancelled elections.
On Wednesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy held talks with over 5000 Gusii leaders at Nakuru State Lodge and later held a public rally in Nakuru town.
On the other hand, Jubilee governors and those from friendly parties have been tasked to mobilise resources to supplement funding from the presidential campaign kitty. Numerous governors are to unveil their campaigns this weekend.
Murang'a Governor Mwangi Wairia yesterday became the first to unveil his campaign convoy of 20 branded cars and three campaign trucks.

Mr Wa Iria is understood to have commissioned a lobby group ‘Taifa la Jubilee’ to mobilise grassroots support.
"The caravan is headed to Nyeri county where I will engage constituents together with Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru," Wairia said yesterday as quoted by the Star.
But Kenyatta's main focus is Election Day and vote counting. DP Ruto is managing this aspect.
DP Ruto’s role
Known for his staunch subscription to the Jubilee party, DP William Ruto’s role will be fully engaged in overseeing the voting exercise and the counting aspect of the D-Day.

Earlier, the Supreme Court identified pitfalls in tallying and transmission, among other things in the bungled elections.
