Tough Times ahead!

The legislator’s sentiments comes days after the state launched a series of arrests on NASA Leaders that led to the deportation of self-proclaimed NRM General Miguna Miguna

“If they want to come for me let them come for me in my house. This is very undemocratic because will all know what happened in August election. I want to urge this illegitimate government to be very careful, whatever is happening is not at the interest of the Kenyan Citizen. I urge all NASA elected leaders that whenever one of ours is arrested let there be demonstrations country wide. Serious demonstrations. And even NASA supporters let us not joke with this, whatever is happening to General Miguna Miguna is not right it’s against the constitution. Human rights should take this up.” Said Babu Owino

“The police are the first People to defile court orders, this is upset they will be precedency already set by the police. So if we also fail to obey the same courts orders let them not blame anybody.  We are not going to beg anyone to defend ours rights. If this is going to be a lawless country let it be so because the police set by the norm of defiling court orders.” Added MP Babu Owino

“To the cabinet Secretary Dr. Matiang’I he need to be very rational, just hunting down leader’s arresting them like they are squirrels is not good, leaders who have been democratically elected by Kenyan people to represent them at different capacity. Sisi pia inafaa kuanza kushika hawa watu kwa sababu hii ni mchezo. If they arrest one we arrest two. If they beat one we beat four. If they want to arrest me let them arrest me. To be arrest is nothing." Said Babu Owino

"They are aiming at arresting very vocal leaders, with the intention of silencing the interest of the people of Kenya, they want a way of which they can reach him (Odinga) so they have started by arresting his close people. We are in this thing to fight for the people of Kenya. Personally as Babu Owino you can arrest even a 100 times but you can’t arrest the ideas in my mind."

On Thursday, NASA leaders led by Siaya Senator James Orengo and business man Jimmi Wanjigi and Babu Owino presented themselves at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters.
