A group of youths on Friday morning staged a chaotic demonstration in Nairobis Kibra area over the arrest of Nairobi lawyer Miguna Miguna.
The youths barricaded parts of the Southern Bypass with burning tyres. There were also reports of motorists being stoned.
The eruption came a few hours after the arrest of Miguna who administered the oath taken by NASA leader Raila Odinga.
The Canada-based lawyer was picked up by detectives in a dramatic swoop at his Runda home.

Miguna was administered the controversial oath alongside Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang who was also arrested on Wednesday evening, and later released by a magistrate court on Thursday.
