Seraphine Mbote, a 37-year old Kenyan living and working in Zanzibar, became the subject of a social media storm after she shared photos capturing her having a good time with Odinga.
Some mischievous social media users read too much in the photos and started speculating on the nature of the relationship between Odinga and the beautiful lady.
However, Ms Mbote, who works as a tour guide, has clarified that she had only bumped into the former Prime Minister while on a normal visit to Park Hyatt Hotel.

The tour guide complained that a section of Kenyans had gone ahead and maliciously edited the photos to malign her name and that of the NASA leader.
“At first, I laughed off the insults but when people started Photoshopping my post, adding a condom and a bed, I then realized how sick our society is."We seriously need God-given wisdom in this country. How can people be this mean when I mer a humble politician away from home, took photos and shared and then Kenyans just blow it out if proportion?" Ms Mbote wondered during an interview with Nairobi News.
She explained that after bumping into the Opposition Leader, he had agreed to share drinks with here where they talked about East African integration and her challenges as a Kenyan doing business in Tanzania.
It was then that she took the photos and sought consent from Odinga to share them online.
“We took drinks for a while before I excused myself and headed to my house because I had an early morning,” she emotionally narrated.
