How the international media reacted to Uhuru's win

What the foreign press said about President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election

President Uhuru Kenyatta was on Friday evening declared the winner of the highly-contested Presidential election.

This was after he gained 54 per cent of the votes tallied to see him edge out his arch-rival and National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga who got 44.74 per cent.

News of his victory was met with wild cheers and celebrations country wide amid a few protests in Raila’s strongholds of Kisumu County.
