Senegal rugby 15s head coach Phillipe Orus has come out to defend his side after their Saturday’s 25-45 fall at the hands of Kenya.

The West Africans suffered a 95-0 humiliation against Namibia last week and failed to redeem themselves against Simbas at RFUEA grounds as well.

However, coach Phillipe says his team lacks a number of key players who could have starred in the match exuding confidence that they will beat Tunisia in the next Africa Gold Cup match.

"The match was not easy but we tried our best. We couldn’t play as Kenya and score as many points as Kenya did.

"We are hoping to play well against Tunisia and win that game although we don’t not have a complete team because some of our key players were absent but I’m hoping that they will be present in the next match," he told P Live.

Kenya beat Tunisia 100-10 last weekend.
