Fresh details on the relationship between Kenyan Premier League side AFC Leopards and Romanian coach Dorian Marin have emerged.

The former Eritrea National team head coach left his job in Syria to head AFC Leopards at the start of June before the club ‘parted ways’ with him barely two weeks later.

On Saturday, Dorian opened up to P Live spilling all the beans about their deal with AFC Leopards and threatening to take legal action over their agreement.

He says, he used his own money to get out of Tishreen SC in order to replace Stewart Hall and that they had agreed on USD 3500 as salary plus allowances in transport and housing. He was also to be paid a sign-on fee.

The club has since said that they no longer have any relationship with the coach and appointed Robert Matano as the head coach but he insists that there are no any written communication from the club which shows that his services have been terminated.

He has gone further to hand over proof of his recognition as the AFC Leopards head coach asserting that Ingwe officials have no ground whatsoever to dismiss him that he was never given a contract.

That a side, the 57-year old says the club management is aware of an agreement with his landlord of paying his rent while he is in Kenya and that up to now nothing has been paid.

On Friday, the landlord inquired on when the money which is believed to be Ksh80, 000 will be paid having failed to do so on July 5 but attempts to reach Chairman Dan Mule went futile. He is now at risk of being thrown out of the Cijana Gardens apartment in Westlands over the arrears.

“I agreed with Chairman Dan Mule to leave my job in Syria for AFC Leopards’ duty in June. Everything was right; CEO Ronald Namai, in his letter to request for my Visa ahead of Tanzania trip confirmed my status as the club’s head coach and I was to sign a contract with them after SportPesa Super Cup tournament.

“Ever since, they have never sat down with me to sign the contract and instead gave me very many excuses until I saw on media that I’m fired.

“They have to pay for my rent; a thing they have not done and the landlord is now being uncomfortable with the situation since Chairman is not picking my calls. The club's accountant is also not picking the landlord's calls.

“I have contacted a lawyer and if things remain the way they are, I will officially take legal action.”
