Since Michael Olunga joined the Chinese Super League there has been presence of mixed reactions among Kenyan football fans.
A good a number of fans have thrown their weight in the move arguing that Olunga made a wrong decision joining Guizhou Zhicheng side in China.
But according to him, his move will not affect him whatsoever and whatever people say he is committed to take his career to a new height, pointing out that there is so much quality in the Chinese League.
“I think I cannot decide my life on what other people think. When I made my move to China everyone counted me out but I believe now is the right time. I just keep on working hard and soon everyone will see,” said Olunga.
Olunga scored the only goal for Harambee Stars during their friendly match against Uganda Cranes at the Kenyatta Stadium.

Olunga has revealed that his decision to Chinese Super League in the beginning of this show in football.
The former Gor Mahia forward is yet to play competitively for his new side as he is yet to have his work permit approved.
During his first appearance for Guizhou Zhicheng, Olunga has scored two goals with two assists on his name.
“I am hopeful that after the international break things will be sorted out but as at now, I am still working hard in training and if I get the opportunity to play for the team, then I will give my best,” said Olunga.
He added that he is not going to China to sleep but rather challenge himself in a new height.
Olunga says that the Chinese League is competitive just like any other league with top world players who will help his career grow.
“The atmosphere at games is very good and now that more big players are coming in, it makes the league more interesting. It is not easy and personally, I am really waiting for an opportunity to get onto the pitch and get to play with these players,” noted Olunga.
Guizhou Zhicheng are sitting on the Seventh place after picking two draws against Liaoning Whowin and Beijing Guoan.
