Over the weekend Harambee Stars entertained DRC Congo in a friendly that was played at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos County.
According to DRC Congo coach Florent Ibenge they lost to Harambee Stars due to poor match officiating as well dilapidated state of the stadium.
“The field was not in good state plus the referee of the match was favoring one side. How can you use a referee from Kenya to officiate an international friendly, instead out sourcing for other professional referees from East African countries,” lamented Florent Ibenge

DRC Congo coach added that his players are used to stadiums of international quality and therefore his players played with fear of being hurt at the Machakos.
Michael Olunga scored the two goals for Harambee Stars putting smiles on the faces of fans who had presented themselves to get entertained at Kenyatta Stadium.
This is the second time that Harambee stars was securing a win against DRC Cong, as they had won their first meeting 1-0 in Kinshasa.
Harambee restored their lost glory after they had drew 1-1 with visitors Uganda Cranes on 23 March.
