Playing out of the University of Nairobi’s main campus, Mean Machine made their Kenya Cup debut in 1977, upsetting the top order by clinching that season’s title.
Mean Machine and Western Bulls are now officially relegated and their spot will be taken by KRU Champions league leaders Catholic Monks and Resolution Kisii respectively.

Western Bulls suffered 30-14 in the hands of Kabras Sugar a game that was staged at Kakamega Showground.
On the other hand Catholic Monks humiliated Thika 21-3 a match that booked them a spot at the Kenya cup table. Resolution Kisii overpowered Moi University 15-3 in an entertaining game that was played in Eldoret.
Kenya Cup leg leaders Menengai Cream Homeboyz drew 28-28 with Nondescripts at Jamhuri Park Nairobi.
Despite Mwamba losing to KCB 25-18, they managed to book themselves a spot in the playoffs after finishing the leg at position six.
