Akothee received a lot of flak for her London concert with many specifically criticizing her choice of outfit.

In true Kenyan fashion, numerous memes and jokes emerged as a result of the outfit but the Madam Boss was unphased by the hate shutting the critics down saying:

“When you had a 6 minutes performance amongst 26 artists and you the only one trending then you know you some baad arse. Deal with my dress code or just unfollow because I will piiiiiss you off more.”

And she was on to the next.

The self-proclaimed president of single mothers is set to shut it down in Kisumu at the Chrome Vodka Mega bash; her first main event following the London concert.

“I’m excited to be performing in Kisumu.  I always enjoy my shows in Kisumu because of the massive support and affection I receive when I perform here. I appreciate Chrome for organizing this event and providing a colorful beginning for Kisumu county,” a clearly elated Akothee spoke ahead of the concert.

Also performing at the concert will be Timmy Tdat, King Kaka and Musa Jakadala.

The Chrome Mega bashes have been thrilling fans around Kenya throughout 2017 bringing various famous artists such as Diamond and Sauti Sol as headlining acts.

“The brand association with reputable musical artists has strengthened Chrome’s credibility and consumer affinity showcasing the drink as affordable, premium quality vodka. Together, we created a unique platform that resonated powerfully with our target consumer and they responded to it remarkably. We hope to continue the trend in 2018 where will further create memorable moments and experiences for our loyal consumers,” explained KBL Head of Spirits, Anne Joy Muhoro.

The bash will be taking place on August 4 at Tom Mboya Labour College.
