She is a cousin to Uhuru Kenyatta.

She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in International Business Management, Seneca College – Canada and an undergraduate degree in Bachelor Arts, Political Science from York University – Toronto, Canada.

She is affiliated to Jubilee party.  She is a member of Defence and Foreign Relations Committee.
