  • On 23rd December, accompanied by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta he boarded the Madaraka Express train from Nairobi to Mombasa to begin his Christmas holiday.

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has joined millions of Kenyans to mark this year’s Christmas season in style.

Every year thousands of Kenyans travel down to the Kenyan Coast be it during the Easter holiday or Christmas and New Year festivities and President Kenyatta was no exception.

For a week the Kenyan coast would be populated with ‘watu wa bara’ (Inland residents) who would let everything loose and forget everything in the spirit of ‘Kula Raha Kifo Chaja’ more specifically You Only Live Once (YOLO).

On 23rd December, accompanied by First Lady Margaret Kenyatta he boarded the Madaraka Express train from Nairobi to Mombasa to begin his Christmas holiday.

Earlier today, I took the SGR train from Nairobi to Mombasa, during which I met and interacted with fellow commuters who shared their interesting experiences about the service. I am glad that the #SGR train services have enhanced travel for Wananchi between the two cities,” he tweeted.

It has one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world, boost some of the most breath-taking sights, it teems with life night and day but above all has some of the most friendly and polite people.

It is no wonder Kenyan’s including President Kenyatta can’t say no to another umpteenth trip to Mombasa to have fun and enjoy the Sun, Sand, Sea and even Sex.

On 25th, President Kenyatta together with his family joined Christian faithful for a Christmas Eve Mass at the Holy Ghost Cathedral Mombasa.

When he rose to speak he urged Kenyans as they celebrate Christmas to reflect upon God's blessings for the year, before wishing all Kenyans a very Merry Christmas.
