Kenyans are enraged by a yoghurt advert that features characters from a popular Disney film
Brookside is among three companies that are subject to the economic boycott by NASA.
The billboard features two fictional characters, Elsa and Anna, from Disney's animated fantasy film, Frozen, as the faces behind the new yoghurt whose target market is said to be children familiar with the program.
But a number of Kenyans have not taken the ad lightly accusing Brookside of using "western images to glorify whiteness in a bid to appeal to middle class Kenyan kids."They argued that the dairy firm could have instead used local characters in the advert.
Other Kenyans saw no wrongdoing in the advertisement noting that it was clearly serving the target audience.
Such was the heated debate online that a few netizens termed some of the critics as NASA sympathizers seeing that Brookside is among three companies that are subject to the economic boycott by the Opposition party.
