The hotel is located in Nairobi's Runda suburbs. It is named after a British aristocrat executed in 1941.
Former President Daniel Arap Moi's family bought the restaurant in February 2013 from its three proprietors for just under Sh300 million
The restaurant overlooks a different facade of the enchanting green gardens complete with beautifully ornate waterfalls, streams and ponds.
It has the feel of an English country club what with the polished wood floors and panelled rooms, stained glass windows, and many period prints on the walls.
