Earlier today, Manchester United released a short statement announcing the firing of manager Jose Mourinho.
After leading the English club for two and a half years, Man United announced that Mourinho has been fired with immediate effect, adding that a caretaker manager will soon be appointed until the end of the season.
"The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future.
"A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager," the short statement posted on the club website read.
