At night  the city comes alive with traders opening shops to the wee hours of the morning, selling all manner of wares from electronics to clothes.

The city looks absolutely stunning and serene at night.

Mogadishu is the major commercial city in Somalia and has a population of 2.1 million, growing at 6.9% according to African Mission in Somalia (AMISON).

The city's growth is driven by its improving security situation and economic prospects after decades of civil war ,many Somalis have returned from abroad.

One would not miss some of Somali's traditional mouthwatering dishes such as Anjero, (Sourdough Pancakes) Kitfo, Soor, spiced tea and xalwo all which are served in plenty at night as Somali music blasts on the background,

During the day, the city is deal as the blasting heat that reaches highs of around 43°C keeps most folks indoors and at night temperature drops down to around 24°C, that's 75°F.
