Fans brave the rain; Savara Mudigi performs on a broken leg, here is what went down during the Kenyan Band's performance in DR Congo (Photos)
Known for their energetic and emotion-rousing performances Sauti was in usual form as they performed at the 2017 Amani Festival in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
But they had no choice but to give the crowd an amazing performance as they had braved the pouring rain to come watch their favourite band in action.
The Amani festival is was an international music and dance festival that ran for 3 days in the capital of North Kivu, DRC.
Apart from the Kenyan boy band, other performers who took to the stage were Congolese artistes like Kino-Congolese guitarist and singer Jean Goubald Kalala and reggae man Mackelsambo Kataka.
Dancers from Goma like Umin Robot, Arsenic and Move Dance also sizzled the crowds with their robust dance moves and well-done choreography.
After the performance Sauti Sol wrote this heartfelt message to their Congolese fans."When your efforts are appreciated, never take it for granted. Congo, we're still in shock! For braving the rain, listening with your hearts and showing us mad love, God bless you all."
And it seems that the Sauti Sol-Congo relationship will continue to blossom as the band was recently in studio working on what we assume will be a fiery record with Congolese Legend, Awilo Longomba.
