Kenyans have been trying to come to terms with a photo of a leaked menu from a top international school which went viral on Monday.
Some of the school's alma mater have laughed off the leaked school menu
The menu from St.Andrews School Turi located in Molo, Nakuru County contains some food items that most Kenyans have never heard of nor tasted.
Students from the school, ranked as one of the most expensive in the country, wake up to Fried eggs, grilled tomato, cereals, fresh juice, baked beans and toast.
A lunch meal consists of Roast Chicken with lemon n ginger served with maxim potato, Veggie moussaka and chocolate mousse. For dinner, they get treated to Beef lasagna n’ ginger bread, matoke, grilled veggie among other special meals.
The menu caused a stir online largely due to the fact that most Kenyans went through a basic school life and as such these meals can only be compared to those found in "five-star hotels."
Indeed, the menu is quite telling for a school whose fees ranges from Sh304,000 to Sh730,000.
However, former students of the school made a mockery of the 'five star menu' status saying that most meals were 'not that good'.
Twitter user, @rothsdaddy, shared a tweet of some of the school's alma mater who took to Snapchat to rubbish off the "five star" status as captured by an online news website.
One of the former students even went ahead to state that he once got food poisoning from the meals with another one laughing it off.
Clearly,we live in two different worlds.
