The location one chooses to express or share their love is just as important as the gifts themselves.

Humans beings are visual creatures and locations has a way of affecting how they feel which in result affect how they  process information.

A lover for instance is likely to say Yes if proposed to  say at the back ground of a picturesque mountain or the foot of a water fall than a busy shopping mall or on the sidelines of a business summit.

So what if you were told that you can disappear to a love nest, literary sleep perched up in the sky, gazing at the stars and bird's chirping providing perfect background lullaby.

Located in the wilds of Kenya and nestled between glorious Mount Kenya to the east and the Great Rift Valley to the west, is a luxurious safari lodge modeled in the design of a nest.

Nay Palad Bird Nest is  the world's first five-star BIRD’S NEST built alongside a river teeming with wildlife in one of Kenya’s most popular safari locations - Laikipia.

Nay Palad Bird Nest is a raised suite built entirely from tree branches that offers 360-degree views over the surrounding plains of Laikipia.

This must-visit nest is the brainchild of Nay Palad founder Carolin Dekeyser, her father Bobby Deskeyser and architect Daniel Pouzet, in association with Segera founder Jochen Zeitz.

Segera guests wishing to spend a night at this five star nest are ferried here after a game drive just before the sun sets and are welcomed to the lantern-lit tower with champagne and a picnic-style dinner.

The main sleeping quarters are located up the wooden steps within the cosy confines of the first level, which offers a double bed, a scattering of cushions, and slatted windows.

Those more adventurous and keen to experience an open-air snoozing setup gazing at the stars can have a bed manifested on the upper level.

When morning comes, occupants of the nest are served breakfast with quite a view, from their love nest they can comfortably watch over as elephants, giraffe and other members of the African animal kingdom sidle up for a drink at the river.

Nay Palad Bird Nest boasts of all interior suite featuring all the amenities of a five-star hotel, such as a fully-equipped bathroom with solar-heated water and a flushing toilet.

That’s not all, while here guests can also see one of Segera's most fascinating features; its yellow biplane, which is the very same aircraft - though refurbished - that was used in Oscar-winning movie Out of Africa.

If you are lucky enough and a license pilot they may just allow you to take excursions in it.
