Mr Odinga was in the company of President Uhuru Kenyatta, an avid golf fan, in what was their first public appearance since the 'famous' Harambee House handshake last month.
However, the Opposition leader revealed that he was not a golf enthusiast and maintained that he would rather stick to watching football.
In a tweet shared on his official Twitter page, Mr Odinga said it was a pleasure attending the golf tournament but he would rather enjoy being at the football field watching Gor Mahia. The NASA leader is known to be an ardent fan of the Kenyan football team better known as 'Kogalo.'
The Kenya Open is a golf tournament in Kenya and has been an event on the European-based Challenge Tour schedule since 1991.
This year's edition featured 156 golfers, including about 22 Kenyan professionals, six Kenyan amateurs and over 100 European Challenge Tour players.
