Mombasa Governor offers free lunch to KCPE candidates to help them concentrate more
Kenyans pupils kick started their countrywide national exams on Tuesday and are expected to complete the six examination papers on Thursday.
Mombasa Governor, Hassan Joho today offered free lunch to all the candidates sitting for their exams in the coastal county.
Mombasa County Government through the Department of Education and Children under the School Feeding Program is for the second year now feed over 30,000 KCPE candidates.
Mombasa County is feeding over 31,836 students undertaking their KCPE examination in all the 97 public schools across the County.
Mombasa County also runs a school milk program which according to the government has helped parents in improving the nutrition standards, raised retention rates in schools, helped students focus in their learning.
The county hopes that the feeding program during examination will help students concentrate more and pass their national exams with flying colours.
