They argued Uhuru was wrong in appointing the CS as he has nothing to show for the docket
Uhuru, while unveiling the Cabinet on Friday, announced he will retain six cabinet secretaries under his second term. Among those he seeks to work with in his government include Fred Matiang’i (Interior), Charles Keter (Energy), Najib Balala (Tourism), Henry Rotich (Treasury), Joe Mucheru (ICT) and James Macharia (Transport).
But Kenyans were seemingly disgruntled by Uhuru's decision to retain Mr. Macharia who once served as the Health CS.
While he may be credited with overseeing numerous road projects as well as the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway, Kenyans online didn't seem to read from the same script with the President.
They argued that the CS has nothing to show for the docket that has largely been tainted by a rising number of road accidents. The most notable ones were witnessed last month where over 150 Kenyans lost their lives.
President Kenyatta said he would unveil the rest of his Cabinet in the coming weeks.
