A section of Kenyans took to social media on Monday to vent out their anger and frustration on President Uhuru Kenyatta's failure to attend the much-publicized Presidential Debate.
Angry Kenyans take to Twitter after their President failed to show up for a televised national debate
President Kenyatta was a no-show for the Debate as his main rival turned up much to the surprise of Kenyans
The Jubilee Presidential flag bearer was set to face-off with his arch-rival, National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga but that was not to be as he snubbed the 8PM Debate.
Raila's participation at the Debate was largely unclear but not until he showed up with a just a few minutes to the start of the political talk.
This prompted many Kenyans to question whether Uhuru would have a change of mind given that he had earlier indicated he would skip the Debate.
But to their dismay, the Jubilee leader maintained his stance, a move that saw them go ham on Twitter:
The President cited a busy campaign schedule and lack of consultation as the main reasons behind snubbing the Debate. He also accused the organizers of colluding with the opposition and letting 'NASA-friendly moderators' to humiliate him during the show.
