Matiang'i admits he misses the Education Ministry
A lot of gains were made during his two-year stint at the ministry
“I miss the Education Ministry very much," Matiang'i said Friday when he presided over an educational event at his Borabu home in Nyamira County.
Despite his confession, Matiang'i said he was pleased with the ongoings at the Ministry which is now headed by Ambassador Amina Mohammed.
The CS, who was chief guest during an education day at Mwongori SDA Secondary School, spoke while commissioning a multi-million shilling science complex at the school.
Matiang'i, often dubbed as a 'no-nonsense' minister, was seen by Kenyans as an epitome of change in the country's education sector.
A lot of gains were made during his two-year stint at the ministry including the introduction of strict policies to curb cheating in national exmainations.
