Ghana has a deficit of ambulances

The image,shared on the Facebook page of Ghanaian news outlet Joy FM has become the point of contact for several citizens disgusted with several years of neglect of the country’s health sector as well as a recent scandal involving the purchase of over 30 faulty ambulances at the cost of 2.4 million euros by the previous government.

Several commentators on the Facebook post  made reference to the ongoing scandal which revealed a contract to  have been awarded during the time of Alban S.K. Bagbin as Minister of Health, to an aide of former National Security Advisor, Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah (Rtd), called Richard Dzakpa, in 2010.
