Kenya Tourism Federation lauds Uhuru for retaining Najib Balala in tourism docket
Balala is seen as the man with the leadership to drive the tourism sector.
Mohammed Hersi, the President of the Federation, which acts as the private sector for Kenya's tourism industry, in a tweet on Friday hailed the president for listening to the pleas of the tourism players in retaining Mr Balala.
“Thank you Mr President for listening to our pleas to retain CS Balala at the Tourism Ministry and adding wildlife to his portfolio. To deliver the big four, Tourism is one sector with minimal input to deliver good forex. We need enough funds to market the destination," read the tweet from Mr. Hersi who also serves as Group CEO of Sun Africa Hotels.
President Kenyatta yesterday released the full list of his new cabinet for his second term. Mr Balala is seen among players as the man with the leadership and energy to drive the sector.
