It is strange that Uhuru does not follow his deputy on Twitter despite following other world leaders
Reports have been rife of a supposed split between the two over Cabinet positions.
These are just some of the few key business and political personalities that make up the list of the people President Uhuru Kenyatta follows on Twitter.
But surprising enough, President Kenyatta's deputy William Ruto does not appear in the 34-member list of followers on the Head-of-state's Twitter page. This despite the fact that Ruto follows both Mr. Kenyatta's Twitter handles.
It is quite strange for a President who is always seen to be in cordial terms with his deputy anytime they are seen in public.
Not even the supposed split that has been reported between the two over Cabinet positions recently seems to override the fact that the two enjoy a good working relationship.
Ruto is said to have differed with his boss over some Cabinet slots with reports stating that he has objected to some of the individuals Mr Kenyatta intends to bring on board when he finally names his full Cabinet.
The once Eldoret North MP is hoping to shape his 2022 bid with Cabinet appointees who will do his bidding which points to the fact that he wants a bigger say in the appointments.
