Sprinting sensation Matthew Boling made a surprise appearance at football practice for the Georgia Bulldogs as the third-ranked team in the nation prepares for the upcoming season.

As the team lined up for post-practice conditioning, head coach Kirby Smart offered his players a friendly wager a 4x100 relay against the coaches with their sprints on the line. The players eagerly took their coaches up on the offer and put together a team.

Unfortunately for the players, they were unaware that Smart had pulled in Boling to run the anchor leg for the coaches.

Boling caught the attention of sports fans this past year after breaking 10 seconds in the 100-meter dash and pulling off a stunning comeback for his relay team at Houston Strake Jesuit.

He's likely the fastest man on campus at Georgia, and his appearance came as something of a shock to the Bulldogs players, who immediately recognized Boling.

After Boling tagged in for Smart for the final leg of the race, he erased a massive lead the Georgia football players had built. It was in a strikingly similar fashion to his performance earlier this year.

When Boling ultimately overtook the players' relay team, all they could do was celebrate his impressive speed.

You can watch the scene play out below.

Boling is a freshman at Georgia this year, where he will continue to hone his craft and likely work towards a potential spot on the 2020 Olympic team.

Until his track practice begins in full, it's nice to know the Bulldogs football team is open to him getting a few reps in to keep in shape.
