Njugush is a household name in the comedy industry.

He came to the lime light after he was cast on the TV comedy drama The Real Househelps of Kawangware.

There are a few things entrepreneurs can learn from his success journey which we've highlighted below:

Have a vision

As an entrepreneur, it is important to know the path you would want your venture to take. Have a clear vision of what you would want to achieve and surround yourself with the right people to see it through.

Njugush knew way back from his childhood days that comedy was his calling. He had his ups and downs including being paid as little as Sh500 for acting in a play.

"It got to a place where I realised that that was not the life I wanted to live, because I’m a visionary, and my life was not going towards the direction I wanted it to go," he said in a past interview.

He went on to play a lead role in The Real Househelps of Kawangware and has been a household name ever since.

Be passionate about your venture

Turning your passion into a successful business not only allows you to be profitable while doing something you love, it helps set you up for lasting success.

Njugush would do his rehearsals from 8 pm till 3 am owing to the passion he had for acting.

Indeed, it paid off a few years later as it is that same passion that he turned into a successful business.

Learn how to craft your personal brand

Branding is the process of establishing a voice for your company and standing out from your competition.

As an entrepreneur, you should be wholly invested in a branding strategy for your company or else you may get lost in the noise.

Njugush has built a formidable brand thanks to his creative use of native advertising, which is the use of ads that complement the flow, theme and purpose of the media format in which they have been placed in.

Try something new
