It does not take me long before bumping into a page titled BLAZE by Safaricom with an inviting red theme and bold words that capture my attention “BE YOUR OWN BOSS’’. Wait a minute, I can be that?
Would you rather be a Lion or a Blazer?
Lions' den and Blaze offers young entrepreneurs the biggest opportunities ever.
I rushed to click so as not to miss the juicy details but right below it, I see KCB LIONS’ DEN. I am now confused which one is better, be a lion or be my own boss?
Well, help me decide…
In matters mentorship,Blaze gets a win as it provides spark talks, bootcamps and mentorship summits before an idea is pitched while Lions’ Den will gauge your competence through an application. I mean, why not meet me and let me explain it.
When it comes to money, Lions’ Den takes it by allowing each of the 63 lucky individuals to convince the judges to invest in their business. If one is lucky they get the capital they requested or even more, exciting right? However, With Blaze one has to compete with 11 other contestants to win the coveted Kshs 5 million. Sadly, only one winner.
In such of potential bosses in the country, Blaze organises tours in most counties to ensure everyone gets an equal opportunity to participate. That simply means that you don't have to experience FOMO(Fear Of Missing Out) for not being in the city, they will come to your doorstep.
What makes it even better is after all the work, we all get to play through amazing entertainment from some of the blaze mentors. As for the Lions, you have to come to them, so be ready to pack those bags.
It's a tie as both programmes are tv shows which give more exposure to the brave souls who show up and encourages thousands (me, ahem) to come out in the next season.
Blaze powered by Safaricom sweeps us off our feet as they have free goodies for everyone, yes I mean everyone. You don’t have to be a participant to enjoy the power hour bundle and other amazing offers. Lions’ Den better come up with something for us ‘wannabe’ lions.
Oh well,I don’t mind roaring my way around but also blazing with all the knowledge and goodies on my back is not such a bad idea.
Mmmh, given the chance would you be a lion or a blazer?
