The Polish International, who previously served as the Polish Airlines CEO, will take over from MbuviNgunze effective June 1st.

The appointment comes after months of searching for a new CEO, in a process that was conducted by international firm Spencer Stuart.
"In December 2016, the Board engaged the services of an international search firm, Spencer Stuart to assist the Board in identifying a successor to Mbuvi as Group Managing Director and CEO. I am pleased to announced the Board has finally reached an unanimous decision in this matter," Mr Joseph noted.
Ngunze had held the helm for over five years and was due to retire in March.
He retired in November last year amid pressure for him to leave following the airline's financial woes.
Joseph however said that Ngunze will stay on beyond March as advisor to the company until the Capital Optimization plan is completed.
