Here are the best Kenyan blogs nominated for the BAKE Awards, 2017
Since 2012, the BAKE Awards has recognized and awarded exceptional Kenyan bloggers in different categories.

The 2017 voting phase is officially open and will close on 9th May 2017. To vote in the BAKE Awards, one will need to visit bakeawards.co.ke/vote.
Voting is limited to one vote per person but the good news is that SMS vote verification has also been introduced this year.
Since 2012, the BAKE Awards has recognized and awarded exceptional Kenyan bloggers in different categories. This year the Awards received overwhelming entries of over 10,000 blogs that were submitted, forcing the selected judges to burn the midnight oil to select the lucky nominees in each category.

Some of the Judges who were tasked with the monumental task of selecting the nominees included; Michelle Slater of GM at EatOut Kenya, Ahmed Salim, Qube Ltd, Alternative Agency CEO, Akil Ahmed, Safaricom digital manager, Muthoni Maingi, Bikozulu founder, Jackson Biko and Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) PR, communications and marketing manager, Sally Kahiu to name but just a few.
This year’s awards began on January 9th 2017 with the launch of the submission phase and will culminate in the awarding of the winners at a gala event on May 13th 2017.
BAKE Awards got a shot in the arm after Safaricom announced sponsorship of the awards to the tune of Ksh. 3.1 Million.
Kui Kinyanjui, Head of Corporate Communications at Safaricom, said Safaricom was dedicated to the growth of the blogging industry in Kenya.
“We have supported the BAKE Awards from the beginning because we believe in the power of blogging to shape conversations. It is also nice to see the growth of blogging over the years and we are happy to continue to support the industry”.
