Staying in touch with specific groups of people can be vital, whether you're getting a project off the ground or just making sure you don't lose touch with old friends.

But sometimes email is just too cumbersome a tool for messaging multiple people and that's when a separate group contact can come in handy. Google Groups is one tool that you can use to meet that need.

You can use Google Groups to do things like email with colleagues or work contacts, host group discussions, organize meetings, and collaborate on projects.
