Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ officially launches in Kenya

Samsung Electronics East Africa today launched the smartphone in a classy event held in Nairobi which saw tech enthusiasts, media personalities and Samsung lovers get a feel of the phone for the first time.
Speaking at the event, Jung Hyun Park, the managing director and vice president of Samsung electronics east Africa said the Samsung Galaxy S8 ushers in a new era of Smartphone design and fantastic new services, opening up new ways to experience the world.
“ Today is the official date of the launch of Samsung S8 for the whole of Africa, the galaxy S8 is our testament of regaining the customer trust by redefining what’s possible in safety and marks a new milestone in Samsung’s smartphone legacy.”
Bob Asiyo, head of Samsung mobile East Africa added the launch was a success and a culmination of a month long preparation
“Today we invited you here to witness the launch of S8, for about four weeks we have been talking about the S8 and encouraging customers to register for the preorders in order to enjoy the added benefits the level box slim which is an accessory worth about Ksh13,000”
The Galaxy S8 comes equipped with a lot of new cool added features like an advanced 12MP F1.7 rear camera, internal memory of 64GB which you can expand it to 256GB and a more advance security features like iris scanner and finger print detection.
The Galaxy S8 will be available at a recommended retail price of KSh84, 999 while the Galaxy S8+ will be available at Ksh94, 999 at all Samsung shops and selected retail stores.
Consumers will have the choice of the choice of three color options for both devices which include midnight black, Orchid grey and Maple Gold.
