Bongo actress speaks after she was accused by police of drug trafficking and use alongside Vanessa Mdee and T.I.D
Pictures of a hijab-clad actress Wema Sepetu going into a police station after she was named as one of the top four celebrities have shaken social media.
The damning list was released during a press conference and they were given until 3 February to turn themselves in.
Hours later, Wema Sepetu was still in custody causing worry among her loyal fans. But the Bongo star has assured her fans that she is well and they should not worry themselves sick.
"I thought I should say something kwa sababu najua (because I know )I have fans out there, I have people who look up to me. I have people who love me; I have people who are out there to support me no matter what. I have people who are worried about me. Naa hawa watu wanaonijali sana wana wasi wasi sana, lakini ningepeneda kuwaambia msiwe na wasis wasi.(I know a lot of people who care about me are very worried about me but I would like to tell you that you should not worry about me , I am okay.)”She said.
This was after she poked fun at accusations of being a notorious drug peddler and ardent drug user.

This latest event in Wema Sepetu’s life comes hot on the heels of the release of her mobile application which many believe will launch here into continental fame and rake in some millions.
