Big Kev is dead

Big Kev had been battling a recurring brain tumor for over five years and had lost his sight after undergoing an operation to remove the tumor.

A fund raiser for the Tru Blaq Events founder was held earlier this year to help cover for his medical cost with an amount of Sh. 7.1 million being raised.

Redsan, Nonini, Ian Mbugua, Chris Adwar, Nameleess, DJ Stylez , Japheth Kasanga and Frasha were among those who attended the glitzy event. An event that raised 7.1 million shillings of the 20 million shillings needed.

Big Ted and Jalang’o were the MCees for the night.

Big Kev was diagnosed with brain tumor in 2006 and had his first surgery in India. From then onwards the chronic disease has been recurring making him travel to hospitals as far as Australia for surgeries to remove recurring tumors in his head.

Big Kev died On Saturday evening at Nairobi Hospital where he had been admitted.
