Rumours on Wednesday circulated on social media that Ndii was arrested by armed plain clothed individuals in Lavington area soon after finishing a strategy meeting with the NASA principals.
However, speaking to Nairobi News, denied the arrest claims that have circulated online.
“As far as I know I have not been arrested I am just going about my business,” Ndii said.
Ndii controversially stated that the NASA coalition will go for mass action if the election petition at the Supreme Court does not go their way.
Speaking during an interview on NTV with Larry Madowo, Ndii said that they will head to the streets in a bid to reject dictatorship.
“We will call for mass action. That is a definite. We have been calling for mass action since 1991 and we will not stop as long as some people try to restore dictatorship,” he stated.
Ndii said NASA will not live in fear and they continue to resist even if the police will shoot at them.
The strategist further disclosed that in societies where avenues of legitimate political dissent are closed, inevitably ends with people taking up arms.
“If change cannot come through the ballot, it will come through the bullet," he controversially declared.
