Ahmed Darwesh’s widow loses property worth Sh3 million

If it weren’t for my children, I wish I could just sleep and never wake up - Darwesh’s wife.

This happened when robbers broke into her Kitengela home that she shares with her 3 kids Rahma, Rahima and Ridhwani. The robbers made away with phones including 2 that belonged to Darwesh, household appliances and other items in the Saturday night robbery. Items that she had accumulated during her life with her beloved Darwesh.

Fortunately, the robbers did not harm her or her kids although she revealed that one of the robbers tried forcing himself on her 4 times but something changed his mind. She told Nairobi News that she believes that her 2 am prayers protected her from the evil act.

Aside from the robbery, life since Darwesh’s sudden passing has not been easy for Hawa who had a road accident in the late Dharwesh’s car that was later written off. In addition, she had to move from their home in South B to a house in Kitengela as she could no longer afford the rent

Ahmed’s friends have also disappeared save for only two “I always say that when Ahmed died, he died with his friends,” She confessed.

Despite all the setbacks, her children kept her going.

“I told my mum yesterday that if it weren’t for my children, I wish I could just sleep and never wake up. But when I look at them, they get me going,” she told the paper.
