In a series of Tweets seen by PulseLive, Annrita Kiriamiti has revealed that their family did not endorse the production of the upcoming Series “My Life in Crime” based on a book her father wrote.
According to Annrita her father was even shocked after seeing the Trailer of the Upcoming series. The Series describes her father as “John Kiriamiti” a character that was never used in the book.
“Showed dad the trailer and the first thing he says is 'why does it say his name is John Kiriamiti? Nobody in my book has that name' ” reads Annrita’s Tweet.

She added that her father only used the name John Kiriamiti when publishing the book to maintain anonymity, as the book came out when he was still in prison.
“He only used the name John Kiriamiti when publishing to maintain anonymity, as the book came out when he was still in prison. Nobody back then knew him by that name.”
"After the book came out, there was a huge search in the prison for days to find out who wrote the book. He was eventually ratted out by a cellmate and sent to solitary confinement cause it be your own people" reads Annrita's Tweet
In the book the main character was Known as Jack Zollo and not Kiriamiti as the Trailer of the series say.
The production company under director Ramadham Nungu, acquired production rights from the Pbilisher of the book “My life in Crime”.

John Kiriamiti is a former bank robber turned writer who was born on 14 February 1950 in Thuita Village, Kamacharia Location of Murang'a District in Central Kenya.
