Citizen TV's Jacque Maribe in mourning

My heart is broken to pieces - The Citizen TV beauty disclosed.

Among the casualties was a Kenya Air Force pilot and celebrated Flex Air Charters pilot Apollo Malowa. Apollo was the choice pilot for many politicians and was celebrated because of his skills and that almost every candidate he flies wins the elections.

Among his high-profile clients includes Tanzania’s president John Pombe Magufuli, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, former Tanzania President Jakaya Kikwete, former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.

In his career he also flew Citizen TV journalist Jacque Marie and through the years the two developed a close relationship. After his body was recovered from the lake on Monday and taken to Umash Funeral home, Jacque Maribe disclosed that she broke down after seeing the lifeless body of her close friend.

“My heart is broken to pieces. I refused to believe you have gone until I saw you there, lying lifeless. I still don't believe I looked at you today and you lay motionless. I'm so shattered. What do you say, when a friend becomes family, and part of your daily fabric? What do you say, when we'd talk every day, and laugh over our self-made jokes? What really is there to say! You remain an incredibly amazing friend, a fantastic pilot, a part of our team.” Jacque wrote on social media after sharing a montage of Apollo’s images with ‘Baadaye’ by Amos and Josh playing in the background.

“I really haven't known what to say. I don't think I'll come to terms with it anytime soon, but these tears will be both of the pain I feel and the laughter and light you brought. So fly high my dear, fly sky high. Tutaonana baadaye, safiri salama Captain. Always in our hearts.” Read the rest of the emotional message.
